Kia ora and welcome to the Taradale Information Centre

We are your one-stop travel shop for finding out where to stay; where to eat and what to do in the Taradale and Greenmeadows area.

We are the official source of visitor information for Taradale, the largest suburb of Napier, located in the sunny Hawkes Bay.

We will help you to plan your visit and we can assist you with your travel bookings throughout New Zealand.  We will find accommodation that is just right for you; advise you on activities and attractions; and provide you with plenty of free local and regional information.

Our friendly team is made up of professional staff who will make you feel welcome.  We can even share with you a few local secrets to make your stay that little more special…

The Taradale Information Centre is conveniently located on “the Busy Corner” situated on the intersection of Gloucester Street and Lee Road, Taradale (next to the Four Square and Gotcha Treats chocolate shop on Lee Road).

Paul and Christine Spooner farm alpacas on 10 acres in Meeanee which is centrally located between Napier and Hastings in Hawke’s Bay. They breed white and coloured Suri and Huacaya alpacas although we specialize in the rarer type, the Suri. They have owned alpacas since 2003 and have experience in their care and their breeding. Tironui now has over 50 alpacas with several cria due in the next few weeks. They started with Huacayas but very quickly decided that we liked the elegant Suris better. You are welcome to visit (just call first) whether you are just looking and learning or wanting to buy.  In their studio they have a wide range of alpaca products for sale from raw fibre to yarn to socks, beanies, scarves, jerseys etc. Please phone or email if you wish to visit and see these items. Visit www.tironuialpacas.co.nz for more information.
